New DM rule

18/08/2020

Dear valued members,
We want to take a moment to address an issue that has recently affected our community. Unfortunately, a few unscrupulous individuals have managed to infiltrate our forum, using new accounts to send direct messages (DMs) in an attempt to deceive and solicit money and personal information from our members. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience or harm this may have caused.
To safeguard our community's well-being, we have decided to implement a new rule regarding DM privileges. Starting from today, in order to send DMs, members will need to achieve a certain number of replies and posts, which will remain hidden. Once this requirement is met, our members will unlock the ability to send DMs.
This measure has been put in place to ensure the safety and security of all our members. It enables us to distinguish genuine contributors from those who may have ulterior motives. By establishing this prerequisite, we aim to minimize the risk of spammers and scammers infiltrating our platform, ultimately protecting our community's peace of mind.
We understand that this new rule may cause slight inconvenience during its implementation period. However, we firmly believe that by taking this proactive step, we can prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. We are committed to preserving the trust and integrity of our forum, fostering an environment where genuine discussions can thrive.
Rest assured that the spammers and scammers responsible for these unfortunate incidents have already been dealt with, and appropriate measures have been taken to safeguard our community further. We are continuously improving our security systems and implementing additional measures to protect your personal information.
If you encounter any suspicious DMs or receive unsolicited requests, we urge you to report them immediately to our moderation team. By working together, we can swiftly address any potential threats and ensure the continued growth and welfare of our forum.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Together, let us create a community where knowledge, respect, and trust prevail.
Best regards,
The Moderators of the Forum
